Support for Travel Expenses
NCHE knows that classroom teachers (grades K-12) are often the least able to obtain travel time and money from their school districts to attend an NCHE conference. NCHE has arranged a limited fund to help K-12 teachers defray travel expenses to the 2011 National Conference.
To request a travel scholarship, write a letter on school/district letterhead to the NCHE Office and submit via ground mail (7100 Baltimore Ave., Suite 510, College Park, MD 20740) or fax (240-770-3964). No emails will be accepted. Letters should identify your teaching situation and explain how you expect to benefit from attending the conference.
Important Notes
Awards will only be made to K-12 classroom teachers
Letters must include all contact information (name, institution, address, phone number, email address)
Awards are presented at the conference and will not be mailed ahead of time
Travel award is contingent upon pre-registration for the 2011 NCHE National Conference
Application Deadline: December 20, 2010
All grantees will be notified by email by January 17, 2011
