About the NCHE Conference
The National Council for History Education presents its annual national conference each spring. NCHE attracts dedicated history education professionals from all 50 states. These professionals include elementary and secondary teachers, department chairs, history and education faculty, librarians, curriculum specialists, administrators, historians, retirees, and students. The conference location varies by year depending on region, availability of sites of historic interest, and significant historical anniversaries or celebrations. Past conference locations have included San Diego, CA; Boston, MA; Louisville, KY; Williamsburg, VA; Austin, TX; Pittsburgh, PA; St. Louis, MO; Los Angeles, CA; and Washington, DC.
