Good history must be at the core of the social studies curriculum! The National Council for History Education is working hard to see that good history is part of every student's education.
When you become a member of NCHE you will be helping to promote history education on all these fronts. In addition you will:

- Be entitled to member discounts on NCHE publications
and meetings.
- Be entitled to discounts on Freedom or Independence
Passes at Colonial Williamsburg (discounted admission for
up to a year).
- Be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation (suitable
for framing) from NCHE.
- Have the opportunity to serve on Focus Groups and
Task Forces NCHE is asked to convene.
- See your name listed in the newsletter.
- Receive with your new member packet a free copy NCHE's U.S. History guidelines: Building a United States History Curriculum; a free copy of NCHE's World History Guidelines: Building a World History Curriculum; a free copy of NCHE's elementary guidelines: Building a History-Centered Curriculum for Kindergarten through Grade Four; and one free NCHE Occasional Paper.
